Zarda, also known as Power Princess, is an alien warrior princess and member of the Squadron Supreme.

History[]

Power Princess

Hyperion[]

Power Princess was an alien superhero from a distant world where there was a team of heroes similar to the Avengers called the Squadron Supreme. The people of their world feared their power and turned against them. As a final solution, Hyperion destroys his home planet along with his team on it, escaping into space in his Citadel.

Nighthawk[]

After Nighthawk's battle with the Avengers, the Squadron Supreme are revealed to be alive and well. They make plans to defeat the Avengers and conquer Earth.

The Dark Avengers[]

Using the Reality Stone, Doctor Spectrum alters reality so the Avengers are all criminals with darker costumes, and the Avengers Tower is the headquarters of the Squadron. Due to a spike in energy, Iron Man sees the real reality and manages to convince his team to come together. However, Spectrum has created a machine that will give him complete control over reality and plans to alter history so the Avengers are never born. Captain is able to get a hold of the stone and revert reality back to normal. The Squadron leaves with Nighthawk activating charges placed at the base of the Avengers tower. The Avengers manage to prevent the structure from falling onto New York in time for J.A.R.V.I.S. to activate the repair systems.

Secret Avengers[]

Zarda battles the Crimson Dynamo in Russia.

Midgard Crisis[]

Thor is convinced that Power Princess wants to defect from Squadron Supreme, but Hulk knows better and must protect Thor from Power Princess's duplicitous ways.

Avengers' Second To Last Stand[]

The Avengers are challenged by the fully formed and incredibly powerful Squadron Supreme for a battle that will end with only one team as the victor.

Avengers Underground[]

The Squadron split up after apparently beating the Avengers. However, they survived, and all are defeated one by one, with Zarda being locked in the same containment cube as Nuke. It was mentioned that the Squadron was locked up in the Vault.

Prison Break[]

Physical Appearance[]

Zarda is a tall, muscular woman with a fair skin tone and long, straight brown hair that reaches her lower back and is kept in a braid. She wears form-fitting purple battle armor that highlights her physique through the costume. She also wears a gladiator-like helmet that covers her face, excluding her eyes and mouth, with a curved blade at the top of it.

Powers and Abilities[]

Powers[]

  • Alien Physiology: Zarda's unique physiology has just buffed all attributes.
    • Superhuman Strength: Possibly class 100+, as she was able to fight toe to toe with Thor and Hulk.
    • Superhuman Speed: Zarda could run and move at speeds that are beyond the physical limits of the finest human athlete.
    • Superhuman Agility: Zarda's agility, balance, and bodily coordination were all enhanced to levels that were beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athlete.

    • Superhuman Longevity: Zarda ages at a pace that is considerably slower than that of a human being. She has stated that she will be living even after the Avengers or the Squadron Supreme have passed and turned to dust. She has been alive since the dawn of the dark ages.
    • Superhuman Reflexes: Zarda's reflexes were similarly enhanced, allowing her to react many times faster than any normal human.
    • Regenerative Healing Factor: Similarly, she could also heal from life-threatening injuries with relative ease.
    • Nigh-Invulnerability: She is extremely durable, able to withstand hits from Thor and Hulk with no lasting injury. Despite her great durability, she is vulnerable to electricity.
    • Muspel Slumber: Zarda has the ability to put any being to sleep.

Background Information[]

  • Power Princess was created as an evil version and imitation of DC Comic's Wonder Woman, while Wonder Woman is a good superheroine.
  • Power Princess was created as a pastiche of Wonder Woman, like Hyperion was a pastiche of Superman.
  • She was good in the comics, and she had a relationship with Hyperion after her husband Howard Shelton died of aging; she wasn’t an alien, and she also had the ability to fly in the comics. She fights with her invisible shield a lot too in the comics, and she didn’t come from a distant world; she came from Earth 712, which was based off of the DC universe.
  • She and Nuke are the only members of the Squadron Supreme whose voice actors haven't played any characters related to their DC inspirations.
  • Zarda returns in Avengers: Secret Wars.
  • It has been mentioned that the Zarda can hunt well.
