The Thing is very similar to Hulk in terms of personality. He is aggressive and tends to let his fists do most of the talking. He is also a grumpy person.

Due to exposure to high amounts of cosmic radiation Ben Grimm's body has mutated to enormous rocky proportions. He is almost as strong as the hulks and is almost as invulnerable as them. He can also breath underwater for extended periods of time. The Thing cannot age. This allows him to theoretically never die.
