"Correction, Squadron Supreme was MY old team."
Nighthawk reveals real leader of Squadron Supreme

Squadron Supreme is a group of alien superheroes from a distant world similar to the Avengers. They chose to solve their planet's problems by taking control of the planet because they felt partially responsible for the chaos ravaging their planet. As the new authority, they took on more than just crime fighting and supervillains; they tackled poverty, hunger, the environment, and public health. They are the major antagonists in Season 2.

History[]

Hyperion[]

The people of their world feared their power and turned against them. As a final solution, the Squadron Supreme forces Doctor Spectrum to destroy their home planet, escaping into space in his Citadel.

Nighthawk[]

Nighthawk when he first appears in the disguise of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Kyle Richmond. Using his position on S.H.I.E.L.D. as the Director of Interstellar Operations, Kyle secretly gets into S.H.I.E.L.D.'s database in order to obtain the contingency plan about the Avengers while trying to get Falcon to join up with his group. It also shown that he was aware of the Cabal that Hyperion was apart of. Using the contingency plans, he used a HYDRA robot loaded with a special chemical to disable Hulk, used a Hydrarobot to attach a Norn Stone to Thor's Mjolnir causing him to go through the Nine Realms, used a special code to knock out Black Widow, shut down JARVIS, disable Iron Man, and use a sonic grenade on Captain America's shield. Upon capturing Falcon and a cube that rose Hyperion's citadel, he heads to the citadel where he reveals his identity to Falcon while mentioning that Kyle Richmond was an alias. Nighthawk explains that he is the "architect" of the Squadron Supreme while Hyperion was the "hammer" of the group. After mentioning that the rest of the Squadron Supreme are heading to Earth, Nighthawk then uses Hyperion's citadel to fire a laser that starts heading to Manhattan while broadcasting to the world to surrender the Earth to the Squadron Supreme's protection or else lose a major city every day. In the nick of time, the Avengers show up after getting out of their traps. While Hulk and Thor work to shut down the citadel, the others fought Nighthawk where they managed to defeat him and remand him to S.H.I.E.L.D. custody. Outside of Nighthawk's cell, Nick Fury mocks the idea of Nighthawk being one step ahead where Nighthawk states that he's always one step ahead. This is proven right when Hyperion arrives and frees Nighthawk in front of Nick Fury. Nighthawk and Hyperion then leave to get their group together.

The Dark Avengers[]

Using the Reality Gem, Doctor Spectrum alters reality so the Avengers are all criminals with darker costumes and the Avengers Tower is headquarters of the Squadron. Due to a spike in energy, Iron Man sees the real reality and manages to convince his team to come together. However Spectrum has created a machine that will give him complete control over reality, and plans to alter history so the Avengers were never born. Captain is able to get a hold of the stone and revert reality back to normal. The Squadron leaves with Nighthawk activating charges placed at the base of Avengers tower. The Avengers manage to prevent the structure from falling onto New York in time for J.A.R.V.I.S. to activate the repair systems.

Secret Avengers[]

Zarda battled the Crimson Dynamo in Russia.

Terminal Velocity[]

The Squadron Supreme's fastest member Speed Demon is on the loose and wreaking havoc throughout Avengers Tower. Hulk must save the day by fighting the high velocity villain.

Spectrums[]

Ant-Man begins to atone by bringing his former allies to justice. His quest for redemption leads the team to an epic battle with Squadron Supreme's Doctor Spectrum.

Midgard Crisis[]

Thor is convinced that Power Princess wants to defect from Squadron Supreme, but Hulk knows better and must protect Thor from Power Princess's duplicitous ways.

Avengers' Last Stand[]

The Avengers are challenged by the fully formed and incredibly powerful Squadron Supreme for a battle that will end with only one team as the victor.

Avengers Underground[]

The Squadron Supreme have finally taken over the Earth while the Avengers come up with a plan to take the planet back. After the Avengers have destroyed some of Nighthawk's police robots, The Squadron Supreme attempted to kill the world diplomats to show the world the consequences of resistance, but were secretly saved by the Avengers. After they find out that the world diplomats survived, The Squadron Supreme decide to go their separate ways, which is exactly what The Avengers needed to take Squadron Supreme down one by one. Hawkeye encounters Speed Demon and tricks him into running into a containment cell and has him beaten up by Hulk (who was still angry about Speed Demon sending him into speed time in Terminal Velocity). Hawkeye gives Speed Demon's speed belt to Falcon and flies to where Thor and Power Princess are fighting and he straps the speed belt around Power Princess' waist, causing her to speed off and slam into Nuke, causing them both to get trapped into a containment cell. Captain America and Ant Man uses a device to destroy Doctor Spectrum's astral body, forcing it to revert back to the Power Prism and Captain America uses it to fly off into space and temporarily turn the sun blue, which leaves Hyperion powerless as his powers are fueled by yellow sun radiation and is easily defeated by Black Widow. At the Avengers Tower, Nighthawk uses a teleportation device to teleport Nuke and Hyperion to the Tower and he has Hyperion absorb Nuke's power and he begins digging his way to the earth's core to destroy the planet, while Nighthawk attempts to escape the destruction with his ship. Iron Man informs the rest of the team and they head after Hyperion to stop him, while Iron Man goes after Nighthawk. In the center of the Earth, Hyperion begins to battle with Avengers to the point where they have to use a force field to protect themselves by Hyperion's atomic vision and Ant Man calls upon a swarm of ants to fight Hyperion till they overwhelm him. Meanwhile, Iron Man makes his way up to Nighthawk's ship and battles with him. During the fight, Nighthawk begins dismantling Iron Man's armor with his bare hands till Iron Man blasted him which also reversed the ship's magnetic charge, causing it to fall back towards earth. Both men survive the crash and Nighthawk makes a run for it, calling for Hyperion for help. When Hyperion does show, he is revealed to be knocked out, Nighthawk tries to escape but Falcon kicks him back and Iron Man rips offs Nighthawk's wings as he lays defeated. The Squadron Supreme are then apprehended by S.H.I.E.L.D and sent to the Vault separated, the Avengers have finally defeated the Squadron Supreme.
